It was great spending time with friends and reconnecting with people before I head to my new adventure in East London. I will miss them all dearly, as Cape Town has been home for many of years in my trips back and forth..but I'm excited for what God has for me in this new adventure.
Update from East London:
Yesterday I confirmed an apartment through Sophumelela. The doctor who works at the clinic has fully furnished little apartment avaliable for volunteers to rent. It's perfect for the four months that I am here. I'll take pics once I move in so you can see for yourself. It's not in the best neighborhood, but it's perfect in that it's within walking distance to all my projects including the YFC office.
I start volunteering at Little Sparklers on Monday, Feb. 2nd in their daycare facility at Sophumelela. I will be volunteering there Monday - Wed. for about 6 hours a day. I am mtg with Marieni, the manager in charge of the children's home on monday to confirm days and times with her.
